A LEIGH women's group has launched an SOS -- Save Our Skeletons campaign.
Soroptimist International has united with the Wigan branch members in a bid to help improve services for osteoporosis sufferers in the borough.
The appeal is supported by the local branch of the National Osteoporosis Society which aims to heighten awareness of the bone condition which can effect one in three women and one in 12 men. Funds are also needed for trained staff and equipment.
Leigh's first fundraising event is a quiz night on March 7 at Leigh Liberal Club.
