LEIGH Centurions are determined to lay down a marker for the rest of the season when the two top teams in National League One go head-to-head at Hilton Park.

The next phase of the Arriva Trains National League Cup tomorrow throws together the two sides many feel will scrap it out for a place in Super League later in the year.

Centurions head coach Paul Terzis and his squad are relishing the chance to tackle the Reds, especially coming on the back of Leigh's disappointing Challenge Cup exit at Featherstone.

"It's great to have a game like this, especially after last week. We want to test ourselves again and put into practice what we learned from our cup performance," says Terzis. "Of course Salford will pose a threat in our division this season, any full-time squad would.

"But if they think they are going to dominate the division like Huddersfield did last year, they can think again. We are determined to put some doubt in their minds with our performance this weekend.

"We were far from happy with some aspects of our game last weekend but as a squad we've addressed those during the week and were all pulling together as a unit.

"I've been delighted with the way the players have responded with regards to the loss. It just shows the level of commitment we have at this club that the players can't wait to get out there on Sunday and show how well they can perform."

Terzis reports no major injury concerns ahead of Sunday's game with Alan Hadcroft (gashed leg), Phil Kendrick (shoulder) and Sean Richardson (bruised leg) all likely to be declared fit after being hurt at Featherstone. Leroy Rivett, cup-tied last weekend, is also available and Willie Swann is also set for a recall to the squad.

Kiwi back rower Bryan Henare has been cleared to play. Confirmation came through that Adam Bristow's application for British citizenship has been approved, allowing the Aussie to come off the overseas quota and enable Henare to take his place in the side.
