REGARDING his comment that Blackburn is a grotty mill town (LET, February 12), my deepest sympathy goes out to the local Conservative group on reading of the 'political suicide' of their leader, Councillor Colin Rigby.
It is of little double that a career dedicated to a hopeless cause finally drove him to this last desperate act.
May he Rest In Preston.
