FATHER Barry O'Sullivan, who has served at St Mary's RC Church, Chipping, for a year, is proposing to refurbish the sanctuary.
Father Barry and a number of fellow priests, who have served at the church over the past year, feel that the altar is in the wrong place. Father Fitzpatrick says he would like to leave a legacy to the parish to mark his time at St Mary's. He would like to pay for a new altar to be placed in the middle of the sanctuary.
