ANOTHER legendary name has been added to the line-up of this year's Burnley Blues Festival.

Nine Below Zero will be bringing their own brand of R&B to Padiham Town Hall on Sunday, April 20.

Dr Feelgood, who were due to play in Padiham. will now be headlining the opening night of the festival in Burnley Mechanics on Friday, April 18 after the last minute withdrawal by Eric Sardinas. Sardinas has announced several dates in Australia around the time of the festival and has been forced to cancel.

Nine Below Zero will include founder members Denis Greaves and Mark Feltham in their line-up. Feltham has worked with Oasis, Texas and Dido as a session muscian as well as reuniting with the band.

The 15th Burnley National Blues Festival runs from April 18 to 20. Other major names include the first British festival appearance of Bobby Parker on Sunday, April 20 as part of the Great American Blues Festival and on Saturday Chicago comes to East Lancashire with artists from the Delmark record label including Willie Kent, Eddie Clearwater and Bonnie Lee.

Tickets for Friday at the Mechanics are £15, the Saturday and Sunday nights are £22 and for Nine Below Zero £10. A full festival ticket costs £50.
