THE panto has come to life at Colne Municipal Hall - oh yes it has!

Jack and the Beanstalk opened last night with an outstanding cast of actors who helped bring to life the daring adventures of a boy and a monster plant in a hilarious adaptation of the classical children's tale.

The cast, including CITV's Leigh Morrison (Jack) and Tim Pope (Dame Dolly Dimplebottom), combines traditional music and classic lines for a great family panto.

Barrowford man George Critchley has used his great talents to direct and perform in what is sure to prove to be yet another successful panto at Colne's Municipal Hall.

The production has seen ticket sales go through the roof - with all weekend performances being fully sold out.

Children and adults alike were caught up in the stage magic as the audience joined hero Jack on his adventures through the clouds to rescue the Princess from the Giant in a truly enchanting production.

TV's Leigh Morrison shines in the lead role which provides excellent New Year entertainment for all ages.

In what has been dubbed one of the Municipal Hall's most popular pantos to date, it's one that shouldn't be missed.

The show runs until January 18 with an adult ticket costing from £7.50 to £8.50.
