THE search for a diver who went missing off the west coast of Scotland is not expected to resume until tomorrow, five days since he was last seen alive.

Strathclyde search and rescue divers have been sent back to Glasgow as bad rain and winds pound the Sound of Mull .

A massive operation was launched to find 51-year-old Neil Robertson, who moved to Scotland from Clitheroe last year, after he was swept away in a Force 10 gale after exploring a shipwreck with colleagues at 2.30pm on Saturday.

A spokesman for the Northern Constabulary said: "Very, very wet and windy conditions have made the search impossible and we hope things will change on Friday."
