ATHERTON CC have signed Australian Lee Childs as their professional for the coming season.
Childs, who was pro for Bolton League side Farnworth in 2000 and 2001 is a quick opening bowler and middle order batsman from Victoria.
Last season he was at Padiham and was the Ribblesdale League's leading wicket-taker.
Atherton's junior players and their parents are invited for registration and to hear the club's application for club charter mark status on Wednesday, April 7 at 7pm in the pavilion.
