I AM writing about the forthcoming choice of regional assembly. At one point I was in favour of the scrapping of Lancashire County Council because of their thoughtless closures of care homes.
However now I find that I am against the regional assembly since the local councillors are the most efficient and serve the residents of the Ribble Valley in a more considerate way.
It is interesting to note that the Conservative councillors perform better than the politicians. In the case of the Labour Party their councillors perform worse than their politicians.
