PUPILS and staff at a Blackburn secondary school had a surprise for Father Andrew O'Connor, chairman of governors at St Joseph's Secondary Modern School - a £100 token and a box of cigarettes to mark 50 years' service with the priesthood.
Teachers at Accrington Grammar School also praised vocational education for helping pupils and won praise for two gaining places at Cambridge University.
