HFRED Longworth Community Brass band triumphed over stiff competition in Yorkshire on Sunday to win the Norman Hudson memorial Trophy.
At the Pogson-Bray Trust band contest at Rastrick High School Freddie's blew the opposition away.
It was a big day for band member Rebecca Anderson, who was celebrating her 11th birthday, and a great performance by newcomers Amy Peat, Charlotte Garbett, Sarah Gaskell, Simon Rookyard, Matthew Farrimond, Chelsey Smith, Chelsey Edwards and Courtney Farnworth.
