A TYLDESLEY school will be extended thanks to a share in a £25m building handout.

Garrett Hall Primary School has been allocated funds from the Local Education Authority's capital programme for two new classrooms and internal improvements.

Director of Education Ged Rowney said: "The programme is already delivering results by helping to create state-of-the-art facilities for our children."

Cabinet member for lifelong learning Cllr Brian Wilson said: "Our children deserve the best and we believe they will be able to achieve their full potential in modern, high standard learning environments."
