A LITTLE bird tells me what happened at Leigh Miners' Welfare on Sunday would have had an Only Fools and Horses audience rocking in the aisles.
Two RL Challenge cup ties were on telly on the day that three St Helens amateur RL teams were featured in a challenge tournament at the Miners' Twist Lane ground. And one of those televised ties was Saints v Hull.
Strange then that the big screen in the club was tuned in to Arsenal v Manchester United for the benefit of a couple of easily-pleased viewers while 50 or 60 'semi-scousers' were crowded round a normal set trying to catch a glimpse of a real man's game!
