A GUNMAN fired a pistol twice in a terrifying hold-up at a crowded post office in Garbett Street, Accrington.
The robber made his getaway on a motorbike after pointing the gun, believed to have been a starting pistol, at the head of a Parcel Force driver before escaping with a substantial amount of cash.
Meanwhile madcap Geoff Small, of Richmond Terrace, Darwen, painted his house bright pink to make it look like TV character Mr Blobby.
