RIBBLE Valley MP Nigel Evans has made a Commons condemnation of local authorities such as Rochdale and Sandwell in the West Midlands who are trying to prevent fans flying the flag of St George from their cars to support the England soccer team in Euro 2004.
After putting down a protest motion at Westminster, the Tory backbencher attacked the local authorities as "mean-spirited'' and called on them to rethink.
