A 33-YEAR-OLD woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of her husband a week after they returned from a honeymoon cruise.
Newlywed Catherine Osliffe is alleged to have used a kitchen knife to stab Ian Roger Osliffe, 35, in the chest.
He died in the operating theatre at Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
Osliffe, a college lecturer, of Green Park, Whalley, was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court.
The couple were married five weeks ago, although they had been together for three years.
They lived in the Ribble Valley village with Catherine Osliffe's two daughers from a previous relationship.
Osliffe will appear at the Crown Court on June 16.
