A GRANDMOTHER suffered a broken nose and bruised face after an incident in Blackburn.
Linda Moore, 52, said she was attacked near her home in Cowell Way on Sunday afternoon.
She said: "I have no idea what happened or why. I am still in shock. I was heading off to my granddaughter's second birthday party. Everything happened so quickly.
"I would never take the law into my own hands but something needs to be done."
The grandmother-of-four and mother-of-three was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary. Police said two people were being held in custody in connection with an alleged assault.
A police spokesperson said: "The injuries were not as bad as first feared."
