A 52-YEAR-OLD man stopped by plain-clothes police officers sped off, colliding with their car in the process, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard David John Kennedy had a woman and a young girl in the car as he drove at up to 50mph along residential streets controlled by speed humps.
Kennedy, of Glenluce Crescent, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without insurance.
He was made subject to a community rehabilitation order for 24 months, banned for 30 months and ordered to take an extended re-test before driving again.
He was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £50 costs.
Kevin Preston, defending, said Kenyon had always maintained that the officers did not identify themselves.
