RE: Snap You've Been Shamed (LET, June 2). I'm a dog lover and I have a small dog of my own. When we take him out with us we always take a bag to clean up after him.

Once in the last month I was behind a police horse in Burnley. The horse stopped and left a big pile which I had to drive through. On another occasion two riders were on the grass verge and the same thing happened and they just rode on and left it.

You often see horse muck left on the road. Are the council bosses going to do something about them and will they be snapped and shamed or is there another law for horse riders, including the police?
