THE Prestwich Co-op Camera Club members were occupied with their favourite occupation on Tuesday evening -- talking!

Before they got round to the main topic of discussion, there was the forthcoming print and slide battle against Swinton Photographic Society next Monday night at their new quarters.

No member has been there before so there was a longish discussion about where it is and how to get there.

The main purpose of the meeting was to decide on a venue for an evening outdoors next Tuesday to take some pictures -- weather permitting.

The first suggestion was the Bolton Steam Museum, but it was decided that it could be used on a later date when we did not have to rely on the lighter nights.

There were some suggestions for using parts of Radcliffe. Then it was remembered that several areas around had already been chosen for this purpose.

The park near Moses Gate had a lot going for it at one time with its lake and its wild life.

Then someone remembered an establishment where we once had a very nice supper of pie and peas, which was somewhere in the vicinity of the country park at Clifton and this became the favourite suggestion!

The information centre, where the Ranger is based, is the place to aim for between 6.30 and 7pm.

On the following two Tuesdays, June 22, and June 29, the club is closed so that members can go away and -- er -- take some more pictures!

The club room will re-open on Tuesday, July 6, with the usual monthly "Open Assignment". You will all be very welcome so come along to the side door of the Bridge Methodist Hall, behind Radcliffe Library, between 7.30 and 8pm.G. E. W.
