THE Holgates proved to be a pair of twin towers as they stood head and shoulders above the rest at Mytton Fold at the weekend.
The club was celebrating its 10th anniversary on Sunday with a special open competition for all members, which Thomas Holgate won.
And a day earlier, Thomas had completed the first leg of his weekend double when he partnered twin brother Daniel to victory in the Founder Captain's Trophy.
Daniel now leads the Order of Merit with Ian Thomson and Bob Scott tied in second place.
The Mytton Fold junior team had another good victory in the East Lancs League, defeating Wilpshire 7 - 1 to top the league table.
