SMALL businesses in Ramsbottom looking to create extra floor space by extending or refurbishing buildings could benefit from European funding.

Bury Council today announced that they have secured more than £1 million of European Funding to help improve businesses in the borough, including Ramsbottom.

The funding has been made available through the Government Office for the North West to invest in premises for new and expanding small and medium-sized companies.

Businesses that fit the criteria for funding are being invited by the council to find out how they can benefit. An application process available though the council's Business Investment Programme in partnership with Groundwork Business Environment Association.

The grant is available for constructing new buildings, extending existing premises and refurbishing of derelict/vacant buildings and premises.
