A HORSE-drawn hearse formed part of the funeral procession for well-known gardener Albert Restall.
Mr Restall, of Outwood Road, Radcliffe, died at the age of 94 on May 26. A service was held at St Mary's RC Church in Spring Lane, Radcliffe, on Friday, followed by interment at Radcliffe Cemetery.
Harold Restall, Mr Restall's newphew, said: "My uncle took good care of his gardens and when he lived in Outwood Road, people would come and take photographs of them because they were so pretty.
"He had even been to the Chelsea Flower Show in the past. He was so passionate about gardening."
Albert, whose wife Doris died a number of years ago, worked for the former electricity board throughout his career.
He began as a meter reader, eventually becoming manager of the Radcliffe, Bury and Bolton branches.
