BLUSHING brides Dolores Haslam and Irene Cowgill were quite happy to share their big day.
Both sisters tied the knot with their husbands in acombined wedding ceremony at Bury Town Hall.
Delores and sales manager Allan Bennett, from Brandlesholme, had been planning to invite their friends and family to a wedding in Jamaica.
But when Irene and driver Ian Kilpatrick, from Chesham, finalised their wedding date, the sisters decided to make it a double celebration.
They asked the registrar to perform a joint wedding, which took place last Saturday. The event was followed by a double reception at Bury Polish Centre.
Dolores said: "It was a wonderful day and something that we thought would be quite different."
The pair have now gone their separate ways, with the Kilpatricks heading for a honeymoon in St Lucia and the Bennetts bound for Florida.
