A PEN that allows you to transfer files quickly and simply may soon replace your computer mouse. Sony (http://shmyl.com/ielison) has developed a pen-like device that allows you to select a file from your own computer and then tap on another computer screen and download the file.

There is no need for e-mail or networks to get in the way. It works by attaching an "image" of the file on the pen and this is deposited on the other screen via a wireless connection.

For example, you could write a short note, select it all with your pen and then drop it on to your colleague's screen to finish off.
