IN-FORM COLNE will be looking to make it six wins on the trot at home to Haslingden and complete a clean sweep of victories over the league's top five teams.

The Horsfield side have risen to seventh place on the back of a run of impressive results -- including skittling Lowerhouse out for 66 last week.

Colne are unchanged so middle order batsman, Justin Nutter, keeps his place in favour of bowler Matthew Clarke.

HASLINGDEN will retain Radcliffe pro Pasan Wanansinghe for the second successive week.

The Sri Lankan scored 61 in last weekend's win over Ramsbottom and cricket chairman Stuart Taylor said: "If we can get a pro that performs well every week we'll be pushing up there."

Alan Howarth is away on Sunday and will be replaced by Neem Elahi.

Defending champions EAST LANCS will be looking for quick revenge at Enfield after Mas Ahmed's side knocked them out of the Switch to Switch Worsley Cup last weekend.

Enfield stormed to an emphatic nine-wickets win as East Lancs' season took another turn for the worse.

Paul Kelly's team are currently languishing in ninth position in the table and they are well off the title pace having lost six of their opening 11 matches.

ENFIELD captain Ahmed is hoping his side's cup form will make a transition into their league displays so they can start to climb the table.

Ahmed said he was proud of his players as they progressed to the Worsley Cup semi-final and the Dill Hall Lane skipper is looking for a repeat performance.

"The cup run has lifted the whole club but we definitely need a win in the league now," Ahmed said.

"We played really well last Saturday. Our pro, Alviro (Petersen), batted well but our amateur bowling was fantastic.

"I think we are a lot better side than people give us credit for, and I think East Lancs might have taken us a little lightly.

"They will be gunning for us tomorrow but hopefully we can have a repeat performance."

Former Lancashire all-rounder Ian Austin will step into the breach as RISHTON'S substitute professional for their game with Accrington at Blackburn Road.

Regular paid-man James Franklin is currently on Test duty with New Zealand at Trent Bridge but Austin is a more than adequate replacement for the Kiwi.

"It's time we had Ian on our side for once because we seem to have played against him on so many occasions," said Scott Greaves, the Rishton captain.

Rishton will also make one other change as Andrew Bartley has been suspended following an incident with an umpire so Matt Leathert deputises.

ACCRINGTON are hoping to bounce back from the disappointment of defeat at rivals Church last week and they will be boosted by an unchanged squad.

"I think we've only changed the team twice this season, which is good because last year we used about 30 players," said captain Matt Wilson.

RAMSBOTTOM captain Richard Hevingham is pleased to welcome back Mark Dentith and Alex Bell as they try to halt Church's rise towards the top.

Simon Read will be missing with a knee injury at Acre Bottom but pro Murali Kartik is now fully recovered from an ankle injury.

Hevingham, who has more dismissals than other wicketkeeper in the league, said: "In the last two weeks we've had the toughest run of fixtures. We've performed well but we've not been getting enough runs on the board.

"Church have had a great run to get to second but we're looking to get back to winning ways."

The Ramsbottom batsmen will certainly have to be at their best to prevent Andrew Bentley continuing his hot streak.

The CHURCH pace man, last season's leading wicket taker in the Lancashire League, took 7-79 in last week's 81-run win over Accrington.

BACUP travel to early pace-setters Lowerhouse looking to increase their lead at the top of the table but they will not be taking their foot off the pedal against a side which has lost four out of the last five league games.

Manager Alick Ormerod said: "Lowerhouse are still a strong side. In Jonathan Finch, Vishal Tripathi and Chris Bleazard, they have real dangermen with the bat, although their bowling is the weak point.

"I doubt they will win the league, but I can see them winning the Worsley Cup."

Pace bowler Daniel Shaw steps up from the 2nd XI to replace David Warren.

LOWERHOUSE field the same side which hammered Colne in the cup last weekend.

They will be looking to get back on track after slipping to fifth spot during the last month.

Manager Stan Heaton said: "This is a highly significant game for us. It's a match we must win."

The club has signed youngsters Bharat Tripathi - brother of Vishal - from Bolton Indians, and Joe Hawke from Padiham.

RAWTENSTALL are nearly back up to full strength as they look for their first win in three matches at home to Burnley.

Daniel Barlow is still out but professional, Andrew Payne, returns after missing two games with a hamstring injury.

John Dawson is also available while Will Cook-Martin comes in for his first start of the season, replacing Andrew Clough.

Bottom team BURNLEY will be missing David Connolly with the thumb injury sustained taking 5-63 against Nelson last week.

Steven Brunt also misses out, with Daniel Pickup and Gareth Halley coming in.

There is set to be a battle royal between the professionals at Centre Vale, where West Indian Test pace bowler Cameron Cuffy will go head to head with ex-Indian one-day international Gyan Pandey.

Last weekend Pandey become one of two batsmen to reach 500-run mark this term and his TODMORDEN team will look to continue their good form, but face a stiff test against a NELSON side who are unchanged from their Turf Moor victory. Todmorden will replace Ilyas Hussain with Oliver Wood.
