THE Bury ward of Redvales needed three recounts before the winner of the third and final seat - Conservative Khalid Hussain - was elected with 1,178 votes.
The two other elected councillors were both Labour candidates - Susan Southworth, with 1,503, and John Smith with 1,410 votes. The final make-up of Bury Council is Labour 27, Conservatives 19 and Lib Dems 5.
