A BREAK-IN at a school was bungled after one of the would-be burglars fell over and injured himself on the roof, police said today.
Two youngsters alerted the ambulance service to come to the assistance of their injured friend at Intack Primary School, in Whitebirk Road, Blackburn at 11.45pm on Saturday.
But the injured youth was too scared to come down for treatment and firefighters were called to take him to the ground with their ladder.
The youth was then taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary for treatment to a chipped tooth, cut head and injured leg.
The remaining two were arrested by police on suspicion of intending to break into the school.
