A PAPERBOY injured in a road accident in Atherton is recovering in the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
The 14-year-old suffered a head injury when he was hit by a car outside St Anne's Church in Tyldesley Road, on Monday morning.
The boy, who has not been named, was unconscious for a time and kept in intensive care while tests were carried out.
But later he was transferred to a general ward at the hospital after his injuries were found not to be as serious as first thought.
Half the carriageway was sealed off for a time while police accident investigators examined the scene.
