MR Trevor Maxfield, who is now standing in the Blackburn with Darwen Earcroft by-election as an Independent, asks whether the people who used Hollins Grove Post Office, Darwen, had "been forgotten about by our elected officials."
The answer is no.
As soon as the Post Office closed, Coun Eileen Entwistle and former Labour councillor Derek Brindle contacted the Post Office to object. In addition, all Darwen Labour Party councillors have written to the Post Office to formally object to the closure.
