A BOY fell through an asbestos garage roof in Colne yesterday, prompting residents to slam out-of-control youngsters in the neighbourhood.
The youngster had to be rescued by firefighters when he became trapped inside the garage in Charles Street yesterday at 4.30pm. Officers broke into the garage to let the boy out.
Stanley Lord, who lives in Charles Street, said: "I am not surprised this has happened. The kids round here are like wildcats who cause chaos in the area.
"We can't remember the number of times we have had to call the police out. The children are forever throwing stones at our windows, climbing on to the garage roof and kicking footballs into our gardens and against our walls.
"Children fall through the garage roofs here every other year.
"Something needs to be done to stop this from happening before a child is killed or seriously injured. It's only going to get worse over the next six weeks as the children are off for the school holidays.
"The parents just leave their children at home while they go out to work, which is why we have so many problems around here."
