DRIVING his car down Blackburn Road, Accrington, a man pulled up to ask two police officers the way and as a result ended up appearing before the court.
Facing charges of driving carelessly and without reasonable, the police alleged the driver stopped suddenly, gave no signal and that the driver of a lorry following behind had to slam on his brakes, causing him to skid and crash into the garden wall of St John's vicarage.
