Three members of the Red Rose Sports Club in Preston are striving to take it to the next level.
Usman Alam, Yasin Patel and Javed Hussain all attended the Lancashire County Junior Trials this month.
Whilst Cricket remains the second most popular sport among Asian youngsters in this country only a handful of players have made it to County level. Last month we featured Sajid Mahmood who after breaking into the first team at Lancashire was selected to represent the senior England side at one-day level.
Siraz Natha, chair of the Red Rose Sports club told us, "Cricket has always been really popular but very few tend to reach county level.
"All three have benefited from training during the winter months and were supported by Preston City Council's Millennium Award Scheme.
"The trio are presently involved in club cricket at Preston and Chorley and showing immense potential at being future cricket stars."
