IT'S amazing that 50 years after The King recorded "That's All Right Mama" it has been released as a single by HMV -- and expected to top the charts.
The 1954 record made by Elvis Presley when he was a teenager for his beloved mother caught the ear of a secretary in the Sun Studios and that was the start of a glittering career which changed the music world.
At the time of writing I haven't heard it, but I'm pretty sure it will be nothing like the original if his 2002 hit, his 19th no 1, "A Little Less Conversation" is anything to go by.
That won't bother me, I wasn't a fan during the rock 'n roll era. it was the 1968 return to the stage after years of tedious films which started my fanship.
