A SHOP worker who helped herself to cash from a till, only to be framed by CCTV, has been spared prison.
Preston Crown Court was told that suspicions about Julie Hunt had resulted in the security being set up.
The owner of the shop, The Cabin Convenience Store, Higher Road, Longridge, saw for herself that the employee was stealing from her.
When she left the shop, Hunt was arrested by police and £200 of stolen cash was found in her handbag.
Hunt, 40, of Wellbrow Drive, Longridge was placed on a two-year community rehabilitation order by a judge at Preston Crown Court.
She had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
Judge Michael Byrne told Hunt: "The seriousness of this case was that you committed a breach of trust against your employers."
He made the order with a condition that she attend for medical and or psychatric appointments if requested.
