MILKMAN John Walmsley was handed an award for delivering pints of a different kind.
Mr Walmsley, from Hoghton, was praised for donating 50 pints of blood at a presentation by the Mayor of Preston.
He donated his first pint in June 1965 and had carried on ever since. He modestly said he just wanted to be useful.
