I WRITE regarding the upgrading of Heywood Street, Bury.
We were told the work was being done so that the road would look better as people passed on their way into town. So why did the rooves of the houses need to be done, and round the backs renovated? It must be costing a fortune.
If they need doing, the owners should foot the bill. This money could have been used for something really worthwhile.
