FIVE candidates will be chasing the support of residents in Radcliffe, Whitefield and Prestwich in the two weeks left until polling day.
Nominations closed on Tuesday for the May 5 General Election, and campaigning has started in earnest for the Bury South seat.
Labour's Ivan Lewis defends the seat he has held since 1997 against Conservative candidate Alex Williams and Liberal Democrat challenger Vic D'Albert, who is a Prestwich councillor. And, if the three "main" parties do not appeal, voters have a choice of two others: Radcliffe man Jim Greenhalgh, who is standing for the UK Independence Party, and solicitor Yvonne Hossack, an independent who fights on social care issues.
Any new applications for a postal vote must be received by Bury Council by Tuesday.
