JIM Harvey is calling on Morecambe's Red Army to travel in numbers to Tamworth on Saturday for one of the biggest games in the club's history.

If the Shrimps win at the Lamb they will be in the Conference play-offs and Harvey believes the fans can act as a 12th man.

"Let's get the charabanc out and take the whole town to Tamworth," smiles Harvey.

"Our fans make such a difference and if they can travel in great numbers it will be marvellous.

"We know what we have to do but we are not taking anything for granted.

"We know it will be a hard game and we cannot afford to think about other results."

Harvey was delighted after his men chalked up a 3-1 win over doomed Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday night.

The game was played out at Christie Park on a night heavy with tension and nerves - but Morecambe's men were heroic.

"I will not single anyone out because they all did a great job," adds the manager. "The boys work as a team and fight for each other and they have been doing that all season.

"We have been playing catch-up all through the season and we have done ever so well.

"And we know that if we win on Saturday we will be there."
