I WAS very sorry to hear that the editor, Mr Bill Allen, is leaving the Bury Times.
Over the past 15 years I have had dealings with many newspapers - local and national - around the country and there are few who have shown such interest in, and concern for, my clients. He will be very much missed.
My thanks go to him, and to the Bury Times, for the coverage of their most unfortunate neighbours, the disabled children who are campaigning to save their care packages and resource at Bury's Re:d Centre. Their parents have spoken to me of their gratitude to Mr Allen.
