TALENTED actors from a theatre group are gearing up to take a trip down memory lane.
Members of Whitefield Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (WADOS) will perform biblical musical Godspell — 19 years after the group originally put it on the stage.
Director Hilary Eastwood will take charge of a 12-strong cast who will take to the stage at the New Jerusalem Church in Stand Lane, Radcliffe for four nights starting Wednesday, March 24.
She said: “We first put Godspell on in 1991 to mark the opening of the church. Many of the people associated with WADOS go to the church.
“The show went down very well with the audience, so we are putting it on again.”
Scott Unsworth will take on the role of Jesus, while Mark Wood will play Judas.
Mrs Eastwood added: “The show is coming on really well in rehearsals.
“This is a real ensemble piece where everyone in the cast gets a chance to play a real part.
“We are all really looking forward to it and hoping for a good turnout.”
Tickets are still available for all four shows, priced at £6.50 for the opening night and £7.50 for any of the other three.
