UNEMPLOYMENT has fallen in Bury according to figures released yesterday.
The total number of people claiming Jobseekers’ Allowance in the borough last month was 4,760 compared with 4,918 the month before.
Dr Brian Sloan, head of business and economic policy at Greater Manchester Chamber, said: “Across Greater Manchester as a whole, the number of Jobseekers Allowance claimants is slightly down, suggesting the pace of job losses has slowed.”
