Woman dies following collision in Whitefield

A woman has died following a collision in Whitefield.
A Peugeot 207 and Ford Mondeo collided on Bury Old Road, at the junction of Nursery Road at 6.15am on Sunday.
The driver of the Peugeot, a 25-year-old woman, died at Hope Hospital the next day after suffering serious injuries.
The man driving the Mondeo was also seriously injured and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Bury Old Road was closed for six hours while the incident was dealt with.
Traffic police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to call on 0161 856 3572.
