RESIDENTS in Knuzden are to get their own ‘bobbies on the beat’.
A neighbourhood policing team will cover the area, spending more than 80 per cent on patrol.
Knuzden had previously been covered by the Oswaldtwistle neighbourhood officers.
Sgt Graham Brownsmith said: “The public will greatly benefit from having their own local officers who are committed to tackling the issues which matter most in their neighbourhood.”
The new team will be at the next PACT meeting on February 23 at 6.30pm at the Cabin End on Windsor Road.
