A TEENAGER is hoping to become queen of the catwalk by winning a national beauty pageant.
Jessica Forster, of Somerset Drive, Bury, is a contestant in this year’s Miss Teen Queen UK.
The 15-year-old was spotted by modelling scouts during a trip to The Clothes Show in Birmingham with Castlebrook High School.
She saw off competition from 9,500 girls nationwide to become one of 150 finalists.
Jessica was invited to take part in a photo-shoot in London last month and her picture, along with those of the other finalists, has been posted on the competition’s website.
She is hoping that people across Bury will vote for her to ensure she gets through to the next round.
Voting closes on Sunday, when Jessica will find out if she has been successful.
Her mother, Natalie, said: “Jessica has never done anything like this before, but she was over the moon to be chosen. The whole experience has been brilliant for her. She hasn’t been able to stop smiling.
“She has a natural ability in front of the camera. She would love to do more modelling work now.”
Vote for Jessica by texting Jessica Forster to 84205 or phone 0901 656 1530 and vote number 43.
