Recycling firm’s 10ft barrier plan

MANAGERS of a recycling firm want to put up a fence to protect neighbours and school pupils from noise nuisance.
Viridor has applied to Bury Council to put up a 10ft fence on a playing field at St John with St Mark Primary School in Athlone Avenue, Bury.
It would replace an existing wall and would serve to block out noise from the household waste recycling centre.
The council is aiming to reach a decision by March 31.
