A PENDLE record label has won a business prize following a year of success.
This week saw Ghost Town Records scoop UCLan’s Northern Lights ‘Business of the Month’ of award for the second time.
Founder Joanne St Clair, collected the award marking 12 months of continuous growth in a struggling a music scene.
Joanne said: “My plans for this year are very exciting.
"The monthly events will focus on social marketing and media in the music industry, and I will be approa-ching publishers to start placing music with other artists.
“I am always receptive to new collaborations and proposals and ask anyone with good ideas and great music to get in touch.”
Ghost Town Records previously won the award and £250 prize money in September 2008 after Joanne, whose background is in aerospace engineering, was appointed to manage the North West activities for the National Music Charity, Oxjam.
John Duckworth, from Northern Lights, said: “It is clear Joanne is mak-ing a substantial personal commitment to bring Ghost Town Records to the attention of the music industry.”
