Police investigating the murder of Kevin Fielding have made an arrest.

The 42-year-old man from the Bury area was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.

Kevin, aged 41, was found dead at his home on Cameron Street, Bury around 10.15am on Monday 30 November 2009.

A post mortem revealed he had suffered a number of stab wounds.

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Marsh of Greater Manchester Police's Major Incident Team said: "Since Kevin's murder there has been a strong police presence in the area and I want to reiterate that if anyone has concerns for their own or other people's safety, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the local neighbourhood policing team."
