YOUNGSTERS in West Craven are being challenged to put pen to paper to help their county councillor come up with the ‘write’ way to spend local grant money.
County Coun Keith Bailey has asked children from each of the seven primary schools in his division to write “What I would do if I was a county councillor?”
He said: “I want to encourage pupils to be creative in their learning and at the same help me find the best way to use some of the £1,250 I have as a county councillor to give out as grants every year.”
To find out more about grants available in Pendle or the writing competition, please contact Jan Styan on 01282 661621.
