THE new Tesco Express store opening in Brunshaw Road, Burnley, will celebrate its launch on Tuesday with a donation to Pendleside Hospice.
Hospice fundraising manager, Kaye Bartle, will be the guest of honour and as part of the opening celebrations, store manager Claire Hisom and her staff will present the hospice with a cheque for £500.
Kaye said: “The kind donation that Tesco makes will be used to provide much needed care to local people suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses. The cost of providing care increases year on year in response to demand for services.”
